Baruch Nachshon was born in Haifa in 1939 and studied art with artist Shlomo Narani from 1950-1958. In 1965 completed studies at the School for Visual Arts in New York, having received a grant from the Lubuvicher Rebbi. He received a special blessing from the Rebbi, who requested that he sanctify art, thereby bringing about a ‘tikkun’ for the generations to come. Baruch and his wife Sarah, along with their family, were among the first settlers in Hebron in 1968. They played an active role in the renewal of the Jewish community of Hebron. They live in Kiryat Arba and combine pioneering with a unique Jewish art which is internationally famous.
